Nicola and I went to the La Cabane opening on Friday night. The setting was beautiful but the party was disappointing. (Not least because it was interupted by demonstrators who had been fired by the hotel and not paid apparently). The canapes were average, not 5 star... the singer was average although behaved in a divaesque manner and kept everyone waiting after she was introduced... and there was little atmosphere. They should have asked us to manage the event!
